20/20 Parenting. Recognizing and mitigating early vulnerabilities and risk factors.

Founder

Kerry Jackson

Mom in spirit to 1 late grown son, Ryan, Founder of 20/20 Parenting

Kerry has been working in the visual communications industry for over 20years, including 8 years as an independent consultant. She has studied psychology at Langara College as well as volunteered as a crisis counselor for the Vancouver Crisis Centre.

Having experienced the tragic struggles and loss of her only child, Ryan, Kerry brings to this parenting resource centre the heightened compassion, wisdom, hindsight, and determination such experiences tend to generate. Kerry has dedicated herself to creating this web site, in the hope that others may be saved from the permanent damages of crystal methamphetamine (current focus) and other harmful substances.

Board of Advisors

Lesley Tannen

Parent of 2 grown children, B.Sc, MBA

Lesley agreed to be on Kerry's board of advisors because she felt that the insights gained over 30 years in business, including a range of private (for profit and non-profit) and public enterprises would be helpful. "It is amazing that, regardless of the work I might be doing at any one point, I see the emotional, physical and financial damage to people, their families and the community caused by drugs, poor decision making, lack of meaningful treatment options, and most importantly, lack of prevention and early intervention for infants, children and youth. Kerry's determination to develop practical, positive and holistic tools for parents and families is good news. I hope that my background working in business and with people with disabilities will help Kerry help other parents. As a parent I would have benefited from a resource such as 20/20 Parenting."
