March 22, 2008

On the home/graphics business front things have been very hectic, hence how long it has been since my last entry.

Yesterday I received a letter from a 20/20P parent warning me about Dust Off, a computer aerosol duster that kids have been using to get high and that has tragically taken some lives very suddenly. I sent her a link to our Dust Off page containing a link to the letter she had sent me written by a bereaved dad. She was surprised. She hadn't seen our page and she was also missing our newsletter. This was my response:

It seems communication is one of the biggest problems of our modern society, in spite of all our means including the internet. If we don't know what to look for we can only hope to find it by chance. This doesn't seem right to me when crucial pieces of information can make such a huge difference to our success as parents and as individuals. I hope this site is helping to close some critical communication gaps, especially that of mild traumatic brain injury and how it impairs wise decision making, much more prevalent than commonly understood.

Regarding my newsletter:  I have been on sabbatical from 20/20P due to big changes in my personal life with selling the family house I had been living in for 8 years, buying a condo, and moving home and office. I now have a higher cost of living so these days I'm having to focus almost all my time on earning a living in the graphics field, and getting settled in a new city.

I'm not sure how much more I will be able to do for 20/20P. A lot depends on how much demand there is for my presentations as well as the financial logistics. Lately there has been numerous inquiries which has been very encouraging.

I will continue to send out a short newsletter once in awhile, as I have time to add content to the site to have news to tell. Presentations enquiries are welcome though I am no longer willing and able to travel outside of BC, Canada.

I would really appreciate hearing from you via the Letters page. Tell me what your challenges are, successes etc. If you are working in the health field and have an article you think would be beneficial to our readers please contact me.

Health and Happiness,

Kerry Jackson
