Letters to Kerry
Stories of Victory, Struggle, Tragedy, & Workplace Concerns
January 21, 2007:
Wonderful news from "A very concerned Auntie". Last letter Sept. 24, 2006: Pregnant and on crystal meth:
Hi Kerry,
I was in touch with you first back in Sept - and several times since then regarding my niece who is pregnant and was on crystal meth etc. I've been meaning to get back in touch with you - to thank you again. I did use the link to the mental health act - and learned about extended leave. [Please refer to the letter link above for these links.] Miraculously, before she was discharged from hospital - the doctors agreed to use the 'extended leave' plan and my niece agreed to abide by it. She moved into a women's recovery house three months ago and has remained clean and safe since. Her baby is due early May. We still don't know what the future holds - but we are so grateful for this miracle. Again, thank you for sharing what you have learned through your son's struggle. It has helped us so much.
God Bless you
Now a very hopeful Auntie
